Description: An exceptional quality sterling silver inkstand with a removable cut glass inkwell. The Inkwell is capped with a matching silver top and collar. The beautiful reposse pattern in both the stand and the inkwell lid depicts a floral & fleur de lis pattern. The pattern continues into the three flared tripod feet. The hallmarks on both pieces date them to London 1874. An inkstand of this caliber would have been prominently displayed in a drawing room, perhaps on the secretary or on an elegant writing table.
