Description:
I'd like to be, under the sea, in an octopus's garden wearing a demi just like this...
This set is NOT like anything you've ever seen before! It was love at first sight the moment I saw it. Best that I let my good friend, artisan Lou Stiverson, describe her unique creation in her own words:
"At an auction, I picked up a marvelous ceramic bracelet that by itself was beyond repair. I retooled it into this unique demi of necklace and clip earrings. Each vintage ceramic station is done in sea green and each has its own individual scene depicting life under the ocean such as fish, shells, and mermaid. The center station of the necklace and both earrings have tiny beads of real coral. I added pearlized acrylic pink flowers with Austrian crystal Aurora Borealis then added fibers of olive green. The necklace is gold-toned with a fold-over clasp and fits to 16" and can't be changed. The earrings are clips done on gold-toned metal and are 1 1/4" wide by 2 1/2" plus the fibers for a total of 5". Each station of the necklace has a base of brass that I tinted in sea green. You'll absolutely never see this duplicated!"
Never duplicated indeed. This set is beyond boutique-worthy. It is downright museum-worthy, in my humble opinion! Signed on the back of one of the discs on the necklace, this demi-parure was also given the highly esteemed Paw of Approval by my boy Archie. (Please see last photo.) Can't get any higher recommendation than that.
