Description: Victorian Furniture. Unusual hard to find piece of Americana. This "Turkish" style Chair is American and dates circa 1890. What is interesting about this chair is the frame. The only wood on the chair is the legs and base. The arms, seat, and back of the chair are constructed of wire and springs (making the Chair slightly flexible). This, along with the horsehair stuffing, makes this chair very comfortable. Beautifully hand tied and tufted this chair would work well in a library, bedroom or parlor. I believe this chair have been reupholstered about 40 years ago with soft begie color velvet and its original horsehair stuffing. This is a very comfortable Chair. The frame is in excellent condition
