Trompe l'Oeil Still Life Signed Oil Painting Mid 20C
Description: Oil on masonite panel, framed. Signed lower right corner: "Guelfo". Dimensions: Pane: 13 3/4 x 10in. Frame: 18 x 14 1/4in. Weight: 1lb. 12oz. Condition: Surface of the work is slightly dirty. Crack to panel measuring 1/2in. long located in lower right corner, affecting surrounding surface paint. A number of light scratches and nicks to surface paint throughout, the most significant measuring 1 1/2in. long located 2in. from upper edge and 4in. from right side. A wide scratch/line of loss to surface paint measuring 2 1/4in. long extending along right edge, 4in. from upper edge. Soiling to surface throughout. Otherwise, good condition overall with no evidence of inpainting when examined under u.v. light. Artist's Biography:
