Description: Interesting triple Tantalus in unique silver plate stand. Hinged top bar releases by means of a barrel lock. Original key. Lovely cut glass decanters with their original stoppers. The name "Tantalus" refers to the fact that the liquor contained within the decanters was so tantalizing that it had to be kept under lock and key to prevent servants (or husbands) from helping themselves!
