Description: I purchased a number of these pieces.If I had the room I would keep them all as I think they are a wonderful piece of our History.They are also a wonderful piece of Art.They of course are quite heavy considering they are all metal and made from shells.The soldiers would make these while they were in the trenchs-so that is why they are called Trench Art.I think they are beautiful.I have two alike of these.The price listed is for only one.It is hard to see the art work on these two pieces.I do not know what the writing says.It looks like a cannon with a crown on top,and flowers around the top.Also writing on it in different places but I do not know what it says.These stand 9" tall.One is 1915 and one is 1916.
