Description: This round treenware box from England is quite heavy for its size. It stands on a low pedestal with the main part of the box showing incised lines. The lid is slightly domed and has a small finial. It fits very tightly inside the base.
There are several small chips around the edge of the lid on one side.
The base measures 3-1/4 inches in diameter and it is approximately 7 inches tall. The bottom of the base looks like it had felt on it at one time.

A great piece of old treenware to add to or start your collection. There is so much new treen made from resins that the vintage wooden pieces are getting harder to find.
