Description: Tree bark Japanese cloisonne vase, 4.5" high, 4.5" wide, with a bird, butterfly, and floral design. Unusually intense colors for a tree bark item! In addition to the lacquer background, there is brown coloration on both rims and the base, with wear to that color on both rims. Late 19th century.
