The contents include but are not limited to paintings and brief descriptions of artists such as Giotto, Simone Martini, Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Raphael, Giovanni Bellini, Titian, Tintoretto, Jan Van Eyck, Rembrandt Van Rijn, Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, and Pablo Picasso among many others. There are pictures of the original paintings on almost every page accompanied by informative descriptions of the artist. There are 590 pages including the contents and introduction. The measurements of this book are 13 x 10 x 1 5/8. The book is in really good condition. It has black embossed cloth boards for the cover with gold embossing on the spine for the author and title. The cover has some wear to it with some scuff marks here and there. The pages are superb all glossy and in very good condition. The binding is tight and clean. This is superior book full of information not to mention full colored pictures demonstrating the true workmanship and quality of the artists.
