Description: Known as Treasure Chest and shown on pg 54 of Whitmyer - Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years. The lid and base of this lovely and interesting powder jar are rectangular shaped, have embossed hinges, a lock and decorative corners. The lid and finial are green frosted glass, the base is transparent green. The jar with its lid measures 5 1/2" long, 3 1/4" wide and 3 1/4" tall and with the exception of two chips underneath the rim, both the lid and jar are in excellent condition.
