Description: This dark blue transferware or transfer ware platter was made in 1890 by J.H. Weatherby and Sons, Hanley, Staffordshire England and the pattern is called Trentham. It is marked semi porcelain. It is molded and has a gilt rim. There are a couple of manufacturing flaws due to impurities in the clay--frequently seen in this era--but no chips or cracks. (See photo) but otherwise is in very good condition for it's age. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured is $10.40.
