Description: Here is one of the greatest Tramp Art Boxes of all times! The design as you can see is very architectural. The tramp carving frames the entire box. Inside the carvings it has the original fabric covering which is now rotted and faded and is to be expected. On the top of this box are the initials A. A. and the year 1894. It was designed as a sewing box but would make a great jewelry box for the country and primitive collector. There is a handle on each side of the box and one of the little sidepieces has been replaced with one that looks pretty close to the original. The inside is lined with old decorative paper and one of the compartments is fitted with a pincushion. The patina on the carving is rich and lustrous. The box measures 14 ½" wide x 8 ¾" high x 9" deep.
