Description: Absolutely incredible tortoiseshell and silver dresser jar with inlaid silver. The mostly silver box has a lovely tortoiseshell top that is inlaid with a intricate design. It also has a lovely embossed bow design along the outside of the silver box that matches the inlay on the top. It bears hallmarks for Birmingham, 1908. The maker's stamp indicates that it was made by Levi & Salomon - a renowned Victorian silversmith. The interior still retains its original gilt wash. More photos available.
