Description: An unusual horn handled tortoise shell salad fork and spoon with silverplate mounts. The salad tongs are 11" long. In fair condition, with signs of years of use. Some chips on the tortoise shell of the spoon and the tines of the fork as shown. These signs of long use neither detracts from the beauty nor the utility of these pieces. The silver mounts are tight and there are no splits in the horn or the tortoise shell. The mounts are assumed to be silverplate as there are no marks. No maker's mark.
