Description: Vintage grey top hat, with its original hatbox, and a pair of grey gentleman’s gloves. The hat is made by Christys’ of London, and has the retailer’s mark as Milne & Choyce, Men’s Hatters, Auckland, New Zealand. The hat is made of fur felt, with leather internal hat band. The hat box is labelled by Christys’ London, and labelled as “Ascot Grey Topper”. The original price is seven pounds, and seven shillings (7 guineas). Internal measurements are 19.5 cm by 15.5 cm (7.3/4 inches by 6.1/8 inches). The hat is in very good condition - it has a few little minor spots under the brim, but altogether very good. The hatbox has some scuffs etc., but still in very good condition. The gent’s gloves are extremely soft to feel, and are stamped “Leather, made in England”. Mother-of-pearl button to each. Small size. In very good condition.
