Description:
This hard plastic poseable action figure of Tonto was produced in 1980 by Gabriel Industries, a division of CBS Inc. after the production of the movie The Legend of The Lone Ranger. The 30 minute weekly series, originally on ABC premiered September 1,1949. Young boys and girls around the globe were glued to their television sets. A fiery horse with the speed of light, a cloud of dust and a hearty Hi Yo Silver! Hi Yo Silver, away! With his faithful Indian companion Tonto, the daring and resourceful masked rider of the plains, led the fight for law and order in the early west. New in the Original Blister Packaging, Tonto complete with holster, knife and gun was one 5 action figures released that year that included, The Lone Renger, Butch Cavendish, Buffalo Bill Cody and General George Custer. Also released were 3 of their trusty steeds, Silver, Scout and Smoke. All poseable figures for children to recreate exciting scenes from the movie. The cardboard package shows some wear and is marked for ages 4 and up with the no. 31631 and he measures 3 3/4 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches wide.
