Description: Offering this lovely early edition of Tom Brown's School-Days by Thomas Hughes; published by Thomas Crowell, New York, 1890. Floral hardboards depicting pink dogwoods on paper, impressed floral design in gold on cloth. Good+++ condition, no spine cracks or fraying; light edge wear on paper covering. Pages edges are tipped in gold gilt. Pages are clean and tight, no scribbling, tears, or soiling. Wonderfully illustrated throughout including full page frontspiece with tissue guard. A very handsome 115 year old book filled with hours of enjoyable stories!
