Description: This is a great standing character jug or toby jug of Mr. Pickwick from Charles Dickens. This toby jug or Dickens Ware character jug was made in the 1890s by William Kent, England. The standing figure measures 7.5 inches high and is hand painted. The toby is listed on page 39 of Collecting British Toby Jugs by Vic Schuler. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
