Description: A tobacco jar in a deep color amber glass. It staands 7 in. tall anad has 18 panels. I think the lid has been repainted black. 4.75 in. diameter. Embossed lettering reads Globe Tobacco Company, Detroit, Pat. date of 1882. Hard to get the lettering to show well on the image. Hopefully you will be able to decipher most of it. I know this jar has been reproduced but feel stongly that this is an original. Purchased at an estate auction.
