Tin knight figure standing 17ins tall on a wooden base, probably a fire grate ornament. In fairly good condition for age although most of his tin plate seems to have worn off and he seems to have been blackened with some kind of fire grate paint or polish at some time in the past, unfortunately his sword is missing although that wouldn't be particularly difficulty to replace for anyone with basic metal working skills, since the holding bracket is still in place. There is also a minor split in the wooden base though this is restricted to the edge. However in spite of these things, this is a very nice old Knight ornament with lots of character and is believed to date from around 1910, and could of course easily be restored and painted if the buyer so wished.
