Description: Tiffin. Still gorgeous 6 inch TIFFIN tapered bud vase, Cherokee Rose pattern, an old pattern from early glass house days. The oval medallion on the backside is in the shape of a “T”, and the rest of the body is etched with roses and leaves. Vase body is in very good condition, the base foot has a tiny chip out of the side of the foot (see pics) that can be filled in and repaired/restored by a good glass repairer or with the newer restoration techniques using acrylic. Priced accordingly.

HISTORY: Tiffin Glass was originally part of the United States Glass Co. “Tiffin” was produced in Factory "R" in Tiffin, Ohio. In 1927 US Glass changed its symbol and removed its initials from glassware and inserted the word Tiffin instead. By the mid 1920s Tiffin had responded to the public's demand for colored glassware and they were producing glass in black, blue, canary, green, ruby, amber, etc. Indeed, almost every color had varying shades called by different names. The years from 1938 to 1959 are considered to be the "Golden Age of Tiffin Glass." Tiffin made a wide variety of vases, including bud vases. Some of the Tiffin Depression Era bud vases that are clearly identifiable include the Tiffin Cherokee Rose pattern.

All items are offered “AS IS”. The best “in good faith” descriptions and pictures are given, along with history, (if possible and if known) based on comparables and research available at the time of listing.
