This is beautiful pair of sterling silver candlesticks by Tiffany & Co. in a timeless neoclassical design. Each candlestick stands on a broad circular base and has a lovely, tapering baluster-shaped body and an urn-shaped socket with removable circular wax-pan. Each is minimally decorated with simple triple banding around the wax-pan, collar, and base, emphasizing the elegant silhouette. These candlesticks are in excellent condition and each measures approx. 10 1/4" high and bases approx. 5" in diameter, and together weigh approx. 31 troy ounces. Each is marked on the back with the mark of Tiffany & Co., the words Makers, Sterling Silver, pattern number 17267B, order number 11858, and the letter M for John C. Moore, Tiffany's president from 1907-1947. This handsome pair of antique silver candlesticks has been made with Tiffany's superior quality and craftsmanship, and is a beautiful example of neoclassical silver design.
