Description: This is a gorgeous sterling silver tea caddy or covered jar made for the premier American silversmiths at Tiffany and Co. in the Art Moderne style. This unusual tea caddy is formed as a paneled hexagonal bottle with an elegantly tapered body and flat collar below the neck and with a large button-shape lid. The surface is entirely undecorated creating a fantastic gleaming surface for catching light. This tea caddy is in excellent condition and is the superb quality and craftsmanship of Tiffany silver. It is marked under the base with the words Made for Tiffany & Co., pattern number 270S, the word Sterling and number 5, and it measures approx. 5" high. This distinctive antique silver tea caddy would be an elegant match to any Art Deco tea set, or a chic compliment to a vanity table.
