Description:
This is a striking sterling silver tray by premier silversmiths Tiffany & Co. in a lovely Art Deco design. This circular tray has a deep, facetted rim that is trimmed with a simple banded border. The tray has two geometrically shaped side handles that are cut out from the rim and echo the angularity of the design. The very classic design and minimal decoration of this piece make it suitable for any dcor and evokes a Moderne or Modern Classic sensibility. This tray is in excellent condition, and is the finest quality and gauge silver. It measures approx. 13 1/2" in diameter, and weighs approx. 30 troy ounces. It is marked under the base with the mark of Tiffany & Co., the words Makers, Sterling Silver, order number 10402, and the letter M for John C. Moore, Tiffany's president from 1907-1947. In addition to being an elegant serving piece, this gorgeous tray could be married with a tea service or vanity set to make a sophisticated backdrop.
