This is a lovely sterling silver water pitcher by Tiffany & Co. in a classic design that marries traditional form with modern styling. The pitcher is a paneled cylindrical shape with an inverted collar and crisply curving spout. It has an architecturally-shaped handle that echoes the geometry of the paneled body. The clean-lines of this design are accentuated by simple banding around the rim, and the discreet, stepped footring. This pitcher is in excellent condition and measures approx. 7 1/2" high, the base measures approx. 3 3/4" in diameter, and it weighs approx. 26 troy ounces. It is marked under the base with the mark of Tiffany & Co., the words Makers, Sterling Silver, pattern number 18799, order number 8844, the letter M for John C. Moore, Tiffany's president from 1907-1947, and 3 Pints. This handsome antique silver water pitcher would make a lovely addition to any table.
