Description: This is a handsome pair of sterling silver candlesticks by Tiffany & Co. in a timeless Colonial American design. Each candlestick stands on a stepped hexagonal base and has a tapering hexagonal-shaped baluster stem and conforming urn-shaped socket. The form is enhanced with accent banding and a low knop. These candlesticks are in excellent condition and each measures approx. 8 3/4" high and bases approx. 4 1/4" in diameter, and together weigh approx. 31 troy ounces. Each is marked on the back with the mark of Tiffany & Co., the words Makers, Sterling Silver, pattern number 18910, the letter M for John C. Moore, Tiffany's president from 1907-1947, and a star to indicate domestic production between 1943-45. This handsome pair of antique silver candlesticks has been made with Tiffany's superior quality and craftsmanship, and is a beautiful example of traditional silver design. Timeless and versatile, these elegant candlesticks would enhance any table.
