Description: This is a beautiful set of fourteen sterling silver bread and butter plates by the renowned silversmiths at Tiffany & Co. in a timeless pattern. Each small circular plate has a plain field with a wide shaped, circular rim trimmed with a triple banded border and decorated with shells in strapwork. Each plate is in excellent condition and is the finest quality of Tiffany's heavy gauge silver. Each measures approx. 6 1/4" in diameter, and together weigh approx. 66 troy ounces. Each is marked under the base with the mark of Tiffany & Co., the words Makers, Sterling Silver, pattern number 18001, order number 1776, and the letter M for John C. Moore, Tiffany's president from 1907-1947. This lovely set of antique silver bread and butter plates are refined yet decorative and would make a charming compliment to any table setting.
