Description:
This is a beautiful sterling silver mounted glass vase by Tiffany & Co. in the neoclassical style. This exquisite cut glass vase has a long, slender silhouette. It stands on a base mounted with sterling silver in a band of stylized leaves and anthemia feet; the same band is mounted to the rim of the vase. The body of the vase is also mounted with a larger stylized leaf band and below that with a magnificent band of leafy scrolls and with a central basket of fruit. Attaching these bands are two side handles formed as masks with magnificent floral scrolls as decorative handles. The decoration and cut glass patterns are all exceptionally crisp and detailed. It is in excellent condition and is a fine example of Tiffany's superior quality and craftsmanship. This vase measures approx. 12 1/2" high, and is marked base with the mark of Tiffany & Co., the words Makers, Sterling Silver, pattern number 13474, and order number 9873. This beautiful antique vase is especially well-proportioned and elegant. It would make a wonderful addition to any Adam-style interior.
