Description:
This lovely heavy gold banded cake plate from the early 1900s is marked on the back in red: Theodore Haviland/Limoges/France and also has the impressed letters TH with the Legion of Honor Symbol. In my Kovel's Book of Marks it says that the impressed TH with Legion of Honor Symbol was used to identify whiteware 1894-1957. It also has the Theodore Haviland/ Limoges/France done in red overglaze as being used from 1892-1913. In very good condition, without chips, cracks or fleabites, the gold banding does show age wear in spots, which I have shown in my pictures and it measures 9 3/4 inches by 10 3/4 inches. I also have the matching vegetable bowl to this plate for sale in my store. Please see item #theoveggie1489. A beautiful plate that would match any Limoges Dish pattern and an addition to any Theodore Haviland Limoges Collection.
SH & Ins. will be quoted after orders placed. If you have questions feel free to contact me and thank you for looking.
