Mr. Fretwell was the owner of Monfret Kennels, which bred champion standard poodles. He was former president and governor of the Poodle Club of America, and the Italian Greyhound Club of America. Bicycling in the U.S. and Canada, with a 19p. biography of the author’s Bulldog, Curl (1856-69). Detailed Table of Contents (12p); General Index (13p.); Index of Places (30p.), Index of Persons (19p.); Addenda et Corrigenda (23p); alphabetical list of the 3,000 subscribers and geographic directory of wheelmen, accompanied by a threat of a sequel (!), all in fine print. Tips bumped and lightly rubbed, light rubbing to extreme head and tail of spine, prior owner's bookplate on front fixed endpaper, which also has some erasure marks.
