Description:
This is a souvenir chrome plated aluminum teapot made to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of the coronation of King George V and Queen Mary of England in 1935. The teapot was made by Swan, England and is in the then heighth of art deco fashion in materials as it is made of chrome plated aluminum with bakelite handle and lid knob or finial. The repousse design is of the profiles of the king and queen on one side and their cipher on the other side with the dedication around the lower part of the teapot. The teapot measures 4 inches high by 7.5 inches long by 4.5 in diameter and is in nearly mint condition. The only flaw is a slight tip to the lid finial...but I'm probably being picky. These are extremely hard to find and very collectible!
