Description: Taro-kun Gold Edition is on of the most highly sought after & valuable limited edition plates! Taro-kun from Edna Hibel's Arte Ovale Series is fired on Rosenthal China, the finest bavarian porcelain. There were 3 levels made of Taro-kun, cobalt blue, blanco & gold. This is the gold edition & was limited to 300 plates worldwide! Plate is 14 3/4" x 11" & is painted in 24 k gold. 1984. This plate is brand new & has never been displayed. I will however, point out that there is a small amount of crackling in the top layer of glaze. I have taken photos so you can see. It is only noticable if you get right up & really look for it. It came this way from the factory & is otherwise absolutely perfect! This plate was originally sold for $1,000 at issue. It currently has a value of $2,7500. As always we sell at a discount. Mint condition in box w/certificate. Box has some wear.
