This is a beautiful custom piece from a local estate here in New Hampshire. The lady had exquisite taste and loved to design her own jewelry out of pieces that she bought. This 14k Yellow Gold pendant measures 1-1/4" in length by approx 5/8" at the widest. It is designed with a Moderne/Deco style wedge shape to frame the unusual shaped Tanzanite. Keeping it mind fancy cuts are harder to get with great color and clarity! This piece has both and comes complete with a 14k Yellow Gold chain that measures a full 30" in length! The chain is marked in three separate places with 585 which is a 14k gold marking, it weighs 11.3g. The pendant is marked 14k and weighs in at 11.4g. The condition is excellent with only expected minor wear from years of use. The quality is breathtaking in this pendant with radiant purple to blue tones in the Tanzanite, 34 full cut diamonds and 3 fabulous reflective inlaid opals. I am not a jeweler to measure carats on the stones so to give you and idea the Tanzanite is a three sided stone measuring more than a quarter inch. Nicely pronged on all three sides to secure the setting. Tanzanites are all the rage for collectors, the mines are depleting and old stock like this in the better colors is harder to find.
