Description: Ornate sterling silver top on a hobnail cut crystal base - a tall jar from a lady’s dressing case, or dressing table. The top is monogrammed “M.E.M.D”, and around the side rim is engraved “First Anniversary 9/8/06” (English, 9th of August, 1906. Edwardian period). Hallmarked for Birmingham, 1902. Maker’s mark “L & S”. Height: 13 cm high, 3.6 cm diameter (5.1/8 inches high and 1.1/2 inches diameter). Condition: very very minor shallow denting to edge of silver top. Excellent condition overall.
