Description: This is a hand embroidered fine linen victorian tablecloth made in England I recently brought home. The tablecloth has faggoting edge on 2 sides and hand embroidered white on white satin and chain stitch shamrocks and foliage. I believe some thrifty victorian house wife made this tablecloth out of a bed sheet as there is a center french seam which is a usual "sides to middle" procedure to save a worn sheet. There are also several smal darns which are not very well done. The piece is an interesting one and getting very hard to find. A great collectible piece.
