Description: For sale or auctioin is a very large and fabulous Duncan Miller swan that is in superb condition. Actually, it is in perfect condition, which means no chips, dings, cracks. The swan from the top of its neck to the bottom is 11". The neck itself is about 9". The bowl measures about 11 1/2" x 11 1/2". The rim of the bowl sits at its highest 3 3/4". The bottom of the bowl it is polished smooth for first sitting. In these polished parts, which is akin to a polished pontil, you have the appropriate age marks. The swan is from the 1920's - 1930's. There is some very, very light scratching from it being used over the years, but unless you inspect it closely, it is not seen. The bowl has a leaf pattern effect. Also, the entire swan fluouresces under black light from the uranium content. (last two photos show under black light)
