Description: Additional photo available. Exceptional mahogany clock made by H.A.C.German Hamburg Amerikan Clock Company, well known German watch factory in the Black Forest of Wurttemberg, Germany seen on the inside of the back door. Chimes one third of the Westminister chime on the quarter, 1/3's on the half hour and complete on quarter til with a dong at the hour. Beautiful tone as boisterous as a grandfather clock. Double dials on the face for adjusting Faster or Slower setting as well as a silencer for the chimes. Beveled glass door with tiny knob. Exceptional works, all solid brass have been cleaned and adjusted working perfectly, minor adjustment upon delivery. This done just prior to purchase,no visible name on movement from back, small numerals lower right back, all indications an HAC movement as usual,if not a similar quality as the wording above the dial reads "Exmd By Mappin and Webb",well known jewelers in London. The company only produces and uses top quality parts and workmanship. The Roman numerals on the face a mixture of black an gold with a stunning pewter colored face. Mahogany case stands on delicate feet as opposed to the usual bun. Measures 14.5H X 9.75L X 7.5D. Wonderful treasure for the true collector or to enjoy as a novice.
