Description: This is an impeccably beautiful and ultra rare black folk doll that just came from a Henderson County, North Carolina estate. She has spent the past several decades wrapped in a cedar trunk. This little treasure measures 6" inches long and strongly appears to be made of wood. Though I could be incorrect. She is proudly modeling her original and very cute muslin cotton outfit. Her hand painted and carved face has a wonderous surrealism that seduces the viewer. And remarkably her original hair ribbon is still attached to her real human hair. This 19th century doll appears to be completely hand crafted by an artisan. If you collect rare early untouched American Folk dolls then look no further.
