Description:
This lovely footed turquoise blue satin glass powder jar was produced by Taussaunt Glass and named 'Sunburst' by Margaret Whitmyer and shown on pg 57 in - Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years. It measures about 3 7/8" x 3 7/8" x 2" deep. There are gold painted tips on each corner of the lid, on each foot and a gold painted star burst design on the top. The bottom is marked Taussaunt Glass. The original Dermay of 5th Ave. sticker, with an art deco lady wearing a flowing scarf, is still on the jar and says 'Dermay Parfumers Bath Powder - Paris New York'. moderate wear to the gold paint otherwise both the jar and lid are excellent condition
