Description: This is an old glazed stylized cross of a Phoenix and Peacock Chinese export. It appears to be hand molded. The color is a dark green with orange and blue present as well. The entire surface of the bird has crazing. It seems to be made of clay. The underside of the bird's base is unglazed and the ceramic is rough around the edge of the base - it sits solid and securely but can be wobbled because of the rough base. The unglazed ceramic also has a light orange tint to it. Incised is a stamp "Made in China" and there is a stamp in red ink that says "N425". There seems to be another incised mark but it is unreadable. There are no chips, cracks or breaks other than the rough edges on the base.
