Description: This is a vintage ceramic figural string holder and scissor caddy in the shape of a puppy dog with a red polka dot collar. The ceramic string holder measures 5 inches high by 6.5 long by 4 inches wide. The string holder is pictured in the guide Collectibles for the Kitchen, Bath and Beyond by Bercovici, Zucker and Gillham on page 67. The string holder with scissors loop is was made 1930-1950s and is in good condition with no chips or cracks but does show paint loss from wear and use. Such a cute decorative item for the kitchen.
