Description: Victorian English sterling silver framed mirror. The mirror is not original to the frame and could be replaced with a photo, as the back opens - it is hallmarked for Birmingham 1899. Maker’s mark is H.M. It has a little shield attached to the lower rim engraved “A.L.G.C. Captains Prize, 1900”. On the top of the frame the little presentation panel has engraved the initials “J.B”. The frame is quite large, measuring 26 cm high and 19.5 cm wide (10.1/4 inches by 7.3/4 inches). It has a small area of loss of silver to the bottom left hand rim (see photos), otherwise it is in very good condition. Easel style back.
