Description: A large sterling covered butter dish heavily decorated with deep floral repousse decoration. It has a plain circular liner with a central draining hole, similarly hallmarked with Sterling and #1. The round finial has a 3-letter monogram MLS, which agrees with the inscription on the base: "Meyer & Linie Siedenbach from Mother on 25th Anniversary June 14th 1896". Hamilton & Diesinger was a famous firm of manufacturers and retailers in Philadelphia from 1880 to 1899. In very good condition. Dimensions: 8" diameter, 5.5" high. Weight 22 Troy oz.
