Description: Beautiful antique thimble holder in sterling silver . Used back in the day when hand sewing skills were required, this thimble holder has hand pierced filigree in a floral pattern. The hinged lid opens to reveal a post with a rounded top, the perfect place to rest a thimble. It measures approximately 1 inch tall and 1 inch in diameter. The bottom is stamped Sterling 925 Fine with a hallmark in the center. This was well cared for and is in excellent condition.
