Description:
Very pretty little antique demitasse sterling silver spoon in an unidentified pattern. It appears to be lotus buds, quite realistically modeled, over an intricate background of Hindu bent crosses and a stylized chrysanthemum. This is very much in the Japanese aesthetic idiom.
Measures 4-7/8 inches long, bowl 3/4 inches wide.
Very good overall used condition with some minor wear and light spots.
NO Monogram Marked STERLING, with a hallmark,
as shown. Also stamped (by the retailer?) A.M. Edwards.
Circa late 1800s
