Description:
These cast iron ca 1930's sconces feature the unsurpassed quality craftsmanship that is the beacon of Markel. The square-shaped back plate displays a faux-hammered texture, a rope border, faux-rivets, and a scalloped edge. Crested with a rope style loop finial above a trefoil design and flanked with a scrolling adornment, these back plates are supporting spectacular bracket-like arms. Each arm showcases florets, rope banding, and helixes, and branches out to meet floret adorned bases on which scalloped bobeches rest. Each bobeches base comes to a close with a tulip bottom finial. These wall lamps are in excellent condition. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctional antique turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we would gladly replace them with new ones if so desired. These are 8” long, 4 ˝” wide and protrude 6” from the wall.
