Description: A large Staffordshire figure of Christ standing on a scrolled base with a shell motif, his arms behind his back and bound to a column. The inspiration for this figure is belived to come from a bronze sculpture formerly in the collection of Louis XIV and now in the Louvre, Paris. Overall good condition for its age, with some hairline cracks and chips. 16.5" high, circa 1870.
