Description: Known as SPIKE this pink frosted or satin glass bulldog figural powder jar is shown and described on pgs 14-15 in Whitmyer: Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years. The finial features a handsomely designed figural of a standing bulldog with a spiked collar beautifully executed with fine definition and attention to detail. The jar, including its lid, measures about 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches and with the exception of a small flake off the inner rim both jar and lid are in in excellent condition for their age.
