Description: Originally a souvenir of the 1933 Chicago 'Century of Progress' Worlds Fair. The sphere representing the world and the tower a symol of Chicago's famous skyscrapers. This exquisite machine age inspired, eight footed, green frosted glass, figural powder jar is shown on page 57 in Whitmyer - Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years. This large powder jar and it's lid measure about 6 1/2" tall x 5 " across and, with the exception of a small nick, both are in excellent condition
