Description: Spectacular Quartered Oak Conference Table with deep leaf carving on the rim in absolutely mint original finish and condition! Thickly carved open work all around the apron with a motif of beautifully carved hearts with flowers and berries. The table top is supported by beautifully curved bulbous legs with pierced carved side stretchers and turned center stretchers. Signed inside the apron "Paine Furniture Co. Boston." We have not had a table like this with such robust proportions and definition to carvings and form in some time. We list it as a conference table but it could also be used as a serving table in the dining room, a long sofa table, etc. This gorgeous table is a wonderful combination of function and artistry.
